This product is intended for direct application to pool water for use with salt water chlorine generators. Always follow your generator manufacturer’s directions for the best method of salt application. Each 40 lb. bag of SureSoft Pool Salt will increase salt level by 480 ppm per 10,000 gallons of water.

For new pools: Follow builder’s recommendations for pool start-up.

For existing pools: Determine existing salt level in pool and add salt required to raise to manufacturer’s guidelines.

Refer to the guide below to determine the number of 40 lb. bags of SureSoft Pool Salt needed to reach the appropriate salt level stated by the chlorine generator’s manufacturer.

Add product around the edges of pool’s deepest end with the circulation pump running. For best results, it is important to distribute salt evenly in pool rather than pouring in one location. Do not allow salt to accumulate in piles on pool surface. Use a pool brush to assist with mixing into pool water.

Regular monitoring of salt levels is recommended to ensure your salt water chlorinator works at optimum levels. Regular water testing is recommended. Other pool chemicals may be required to maintain proper water balance.
